Terms of use

Last updated: 16 October 2026

By using JobPrices (“the site”) you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

Who runs the site

JobPrices is run by Limely Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 08730008), 2nd Floor, Suite B, 10 St. John Street, Chester, CH1 1DA.

What the site is, and isn't

JobPrices gives general information about what home improvement jobs cost in the UK and the rules that apply to them. Unless a page says otherwise, rules are for England. It isn't a substitute for professional advice: we're not surveyors, structural engineers or lawyers, and nothing on the site is a quote.

Prices and calculators

Our prices are estimates, worked out as explained on how we price jobs, and our calculators give rough figures for illustration. What your job costs depends on your home, your area and the tradesperson, so always get written quotes before deciding. Rules, grants and VAT reliefs change; each page shows when we last checked it, and you should check the official source before relying on one.

Quotes from tradespeople

When you ask for quotes, your request goes to MyJobQuote, a separate company, and on to local tradespeople, under the terms you agree to on the form. Any work is a contract between you and the tradesperson you choose. We don't employ the tradespeople, aren't a party to that contract and aren't responsible for their work. Check anyone you hire, as our guides explain: insurance, the right registrations, and a written quote.

Other websites

We link to other websites, such as GOV.UK, makers and retailers, for your information. We're not responsible for what they say or whether they're available. Product and company names belong to their owners.

Our content

The text, figures, calculators and design on this site belong to Limely Ltd. You're welcome to link to any page; please don't copy our content without permission.

Liability

We work hard to keep the site accurate, but we can't promise it's free of errors, and to the extent the law allows we're not liable for loss arising from using it or relying on it, including decisions made from our prices, calculators or summaries of rules. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit.

Changes and law

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
